The Mother screams for her children,
As her body is plundered upon.
For her mighty ones who once stood tall and proud,
For her ferocious ones who stalked silently through the wild,
For her innocent ones with the swift foot,
For her carefree ones on wings up in the sky,
For her beautiful ones with the rainbow plumage,
For her loud ones that chattered aloud,
For her large ones that trumpeted wildly,
For her loyal ones that tried to save their kin.
The Mother’s tears fall,
Mourning her loved ones,
As her body is raucously raped,
And her primeval beauty desecrated.
All for the greed of her youngest children,
The Mother finally falls, crushed and beaten.
